Am I Smart Enough? Leveraging the Science of Growth Mindset to Support Resilience in Graduate School and Beyond

June 2, 3-4 p.m. EDT

If there is any time in your life where you may question your intelligence or you may feel that others are making assumptions about your intellectual abilities, it is definitely when you are a graduate student. This often intensifies as you attain your degree and transition into your chosen profession. Graduate school will probably present you with many challenges that hold the potential to support immense intellectual and psychological discoveries and growth. This growth can support you as you transition into your career and beyond. Research has demonstrated that a key factor that helps to predict why some people persist through challenges and others do not, is our mindsets. This session will explore the science of mindsets and provide insights to how it can be leveraged to support resilience and allow us to transform challenges into opportunities. There will be discussion time to connect with peers and dive deeper into the applicability of the content to your life.
